GlaxoSmithKline Medal of Merit

The GlaxoSmithKline Medal of Merit is an annual award available to a member of SHPA who has made an outstanding recent contribution or contributions to the practice of hospital pharmacy or the professional development of pharmacy in the previous three years.

The selection process involves the SHPA Branches submitting a nomination to Federal Council which then considers the nominations and selects a recipient. The recipient receives a sum of $5000 in addition to the medal, which are presented at the SHPA Federal Conference or another official SHPA event in a non-Federal conference year and the recipient is invited to deliver a lecture which is subsequently published in the Journal of Pharmacy Practice and Research.
