This presentation will consist of a number of case studies of typical geriatric medicine issues, with a focus on cardiovascular disease and pain medications.

Learning Objectives:

  • List common prescribing decisions made in hospital and outpatient clinics regarding older people
  • Evaluate evidence for commonly prescribed medications for older people
  • Review inpatient medication regimens and discharge medication management plans for hospitalised older people
