The SHPA Mentoring Program fosters one-to-one connections, enabling you to build confidence, sharpen focus, dismantle barriers and grow job satisfaction.

Our SHPA Mentoring Program enables full access to facilitated face-to-face (virtual) training, ongoing support, certification and networking. 

For mentors the SHPA Mentoring Program provides direct access to two of Australia’s best executive coaches and tailored integration workshops will ensure developed techniques and skills can be applied to enhance daily leadership practice.

Our SHPA Mentoring Program enables pharmacist and technician mentees to draw on the skills and experience of more senior practitioners to power their potential through expertly facilitated training and purpose-matched and supported partnerships.

The 2021 SHPA Mentoring Program training days will take place on Saturday 20 and Saturday 27 March 2021. Registration has now closed for the SHPA Mentoring Program 2021.

SHPA Mentoring Program 

The SHPA Mentoring program runs for nine months, commencing with face-to-face (virtual) mentee and mentor training on Saturday 20 and Saturday 27 March 2021.

Participants enjoy complete access to the facilitated program, including:

  • Full face-to-face (virtual) training for mentors and mentees in the Leadership Mastery leadership model, led by two of Australia’s best executive coaches
  • Additional materials and program resources to support training
  • Tailored face-to-face (virtual) partner matching and facilitated face-to-face meeting
  • Ongoing training and support, including mentor group meetings, phone coaching support and issues resolution
  • Personalised DiSC profile
  • SHPA Mentoring Program certificate of completion 
  • Access to the SHPA Mentor Network
  • 50% discount on access to an additional Leadership Development Framework Tool, including a one-hour, one-on-one Skype coaching session.

Registration and training

Entry to the SHPA Mentoring Program is $1,995 incl. GST per participant.

Virtual training involves development and exploration of your personalised DiSC profile and initial training in the Leadership Mastery leadership model, led by two of Australia’s best executive coaches.  Mentees are required to attend training on the morning of Saturday 20 March and for a full day on Saturday 27 March. Mentors are required to attend two half-days of training on the afternoons of Saturday 20 and Saturday 27 March 2021.

On completion of the initial training you will be expertly matched with your mentor/mentee partner and have dedicated time to begin your SHPA Mentoring Program with your mentor/mentee.

Due to the personalised nature of the program, application for the SHPA Mentoring Program does not guarantee program entry. The SHPA Mentoring Program Lead will advise when maximum positions have been filled.

Registration has now closed for the SHPA Mentoring Program 2021.

2021 Scholarships available

2021 SHPA Mentoring Program Scholarships are available for members thanks to the generous support from HESTA.  The available scholarships are:

  • 10 x $1,000 scholarships toward mentor positions
  • 10 x $500 scholarships toward mentee positions

If you have already applied for a scholarship for the temporarily postponed 2020 Mentoring Program, our events team will be in contact with you in December 2020 to determine if you will be continuing with the 2021 program.
