SWC Training

SWC Training offers Certificate III and Certificate IV in Hospital-Health Services Pharmacy Support through on job training for people already employed as hospital pharmacy technicians in Victoria. Online study options are available for those in other states.

Central Institute of Technology (CIT)
CIT offers Certificate IV in Hospital-Health Services Pharmacy Support on-campus with a four week full-time placement in Perth which is suitable for people looking to gain employment as a hospital pharmacy technician. 


Aseptic Cytotoxic Preparation Course

Aseptic cytotoxic drug preparation is a key service offered to oncology patients by many hospitals across Australia. Over the past decade the pharmacy department at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre has conducted training programs in the preparation of cytotoxic drugs. The five-day course is offered to pharmacists and technicians requiring training in aseptic techniques with an emphasis on safe handling of cytotoxic drugs and consisting of didactic lectures, visual demonstrations, hands-on practical experience and an assessment and validation.
