The 2021 SHPA Resident of the Year competition is open to Foundation Residents who are SHPA members and are in the second year of their Residency, or who completed their Foundation Residency between August 2020 and July 2021.
Heats will be held virtually in November, when each Resident will deliver an eight-minute presentation on an interesting case, a recent learning encountered during their Residency, or encountered on their research project or audit undertaken during their Residency.
Branch heat winners will go on to represent their SHPA Branch at the National Final held at Medicines Management 2021, the 46th SHPA National Conference (MM2021) in Adelaide on 24–26 February 2022.
This seminar will be delivered by a combination of self-paced learning and a live virtual seminar. It is designed to help you increase your sphere of influence, impact on patient care and extend your clinical practice across the patient care continuum. A 6-week self-paced virtual learning package focusing on clinical practice fundamentals will be followed by an interactive live online event taking place across two days to consolidate learning. Virtual case-based discussions of complex clinical scenarios and small group activities will be used to develop participant skills in problem solving to optimise medication management and resolve medication related problems.
